Wait, how many steps are there in two-stepping?

I went to the Mean-Eyed Cat last night, which is a Johnny Cash tribute bar that should meet all of your stenciled references to and velvet (I think) paintings of the Man in Black needs.

Furthermore and moreover, the bar has a generous outdoor patio, replete with tinsel, Christmas lights, and—last night—a band that was like, whoa, did I just stumble onto the shooting of Crazy Heart (except of course when they were playing Clash and Beach Boys covers)? Which was, of course, delightful, and enhanced by the dutiful drinking of Lone Star beers (which one bartender described to me as the PBR of Texas!) and the dancing maneuvers of the patronage. I really need to look into getting some cowboy boots.

And here is the photo-documentation:

From a mural on the building's exterior!

More mural action!

And more!

And more!

Austin establishments have the best bathrooms ever.

See?

The ravenous maw of Saturday night is lined with bright lights.
